My clients love to entertain and often throw parties for up to 100 guests. They wanted a super modern kitchen that would accommodate a good sized buffet area. This 10-foot long island is about 4-1/2 feet wide, and accommodates guests at counterstools all along one side. We went with an induction cooktop, both for the superb temperature control, and also for the ability to treat it as buffet space after food prep is done. As large as this kitchen is, it still feels comfortable for daily use with its coffee station and an eat in dining area (not pictured). High gloss gray cabinetry, is paired with Carrara marble-look porcelain tile for a modern, yet timeless look. The flush mounted ceiling range hood allows uninterrupted views throughout the open plan great room.
